I remember my first dinner party like it was yesterday. It was a cold Saturday in December when the party I had carefully planned for three months was about to go down. I was in the run-around-frantically-and-shove-everything-in-the-closet stage of party-prep when my guests came through the door in their glittery dresses, black tights and red-lipped smiles.

For me, the holidays have always been some sort of magical. The snow, the lights, the gathering of family and friends; cozy nights and chilly mornings. One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is welcome people into my home. I absolutely love hosting. I love the hustle and bustle of preparing the meal, creating the playlist, planning for a night with loved ones right down to the smallest detail. I love the sense of accomplishment while washing the dishes. I love the conversation around the table.

A recipe that has become a staple at my Christmas parities is my Cranberry Lime Rum Punch. It's fresh, festive, and super easy to make. And since I just so happen to be in a cheery mood, I thought I'd share it with you all!


  • 2 cups white cranberry juice

  • 1 cup water (distilled or sparkling)

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup white rum

  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice

  • 2 limes (for garnish)

  • 1 cup cranberries (for garnish)

Add ingredients together; chill until cold. Serve punch over ice, garnish with reserved cranberries and lime slices. 

See, super simple. Make a few batches ahead of time so you'll be ready when your guests start asking for more. And believe me, they will.
